HARVESTING SUCCULENT PUPS -  THINNING OUT THE ECHEVERIA Not very many echeverias grow packed so tightly that it's almost impossible to infiltrate the harvesting of the pups! This Echeveria derenbergii painted lady is one of them. Thinning out a cluster is important for the health of the plant because pests cannot be reached when pesticides are applied. This is why I thinned out this Echeveria. One to encourage more pups and two, so that I can see what's going on inside the clusters.
