Rep. Nadler: "We will hold the president accountable."

Rep. Nadler: Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered his first public statement on the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign. He says, "Under long-standing department policy, a president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional…Charging the president with a crime was, therefore, not an option we could consider." House Judiciary Chair Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) responded to Mueller, "Although Department of Justice policy prevented the Special Counsel from bringing criminal charges against the president, the Special Counsel has clearly demonstrated that President Trump is lying."
