Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud believed babies view their poop as presents they can give or withhold. At first blush that sounds like complete nonsense, but Little Richard's childhood begs to differ. By his own admission, he used to give his excrement to people.
In Charles White's The Life and Times of Little Richard, the artist admitted to having, quote, "a bowel movement in a box" and handing it to an elderly friend of his as a birthday present. Unaware of the horrors within, she took the box home so she could open it in front of her friends. Why Richard did such things is unclear, but his family considered him a definite abnormality.
