John Elway and Chris Harris’s agent worked out the deal earlier today. Although this pay raise was a good gesture by GM John Elway the fact that a multi year deal, coupled with Chris Harris saying he wants to become the highest paid NFL free agent in 2020 does not bode well for his chances of staying in Denver. For that to happen quarterback Joe Flacco or rookie second rounder Drew Lock is going to have to play extremely well this season. CHJ is going to have to love playing for new head coach and defensive guru Vic Fangio, and the Broncos will need the 2020 cap space to pay #ChrisHarrisJr as the highest paid cornerback in the league. #Broncos
That’s Good Sports breaks down what this means for the team moving forward.
