Glow - Tomorrow's Just A Ghost b/w What Is Really You? - 45 Single Glow
A Side: Tomorrow's Just A Ghost
B Side: What Is Really You?
Susstones Records, IMS-572
1991

This is admittedly one of those singles I know very little about. This appears to be the only release from Glow. David Beckey went on to appear in The Sedgwicks and The Autumn Leaves, two other fine groups who deserve airings on this channel in the future. For this single, it does appear they were a little unsure of the spelling of their name, using "Glo" on the sleeve for this single, but "Glow" on the 45. A later version of the sleeve changed the spelling to Glow, so it appears that is what they ended up preferring.

As for the music, I'm hard pressed to not think I'm hearing The Church on the A Side, with a very dreamy pop sound to it. And I mean that in a good way. (Heck, the band photos on the sleeve almost make them look like The Church.) The B Side is a little more uptempo and sounds closer to something that you might have heard in Athens, GA in the mid 80s. Again, I mean that in a good way.

The funny thing is that I've had this single in my collection for nearly 28 years and only just recently realized how good it was.

Now is your turn.
