B14-65666 is a pair of galaxies located approximately 13 billion light-years away from earth. Latest ALMA’s research shows that there is a lot of oxygen and carbon within the gas clouds of these galaxies. Why should we study colliding galaxies? Because with a speed of 110 kilometers per second Andromeda is coming towards our galaxy and it will collide in about 4.5 billion years.
