Wearing proportions akin to the BMW i8, the Vision M NEXT follows from the Vision i NEXT concept at giving an insight to the direction the company wishes to head. In this case the design incorporates numerous cues from the BMW Turbo and BMW M1; both from the 1970s. Up front you have an illuminated kidney grille, to Laser Wire used for the headlights and iconic taillight design. The wheels have a 3D design to them for cooling and efficiency while the bodywork reveals numerous aerodynamic elements.
Inside, the Vision M NEXT pitches a cockpit focused around the driver with memory foam seats in the tub, a triple-level display system featuring curved glass and innovative controls, along with cup holders kitted with gyros to not spill the coffee.
Presented to the world at BMW's NextGEN event, join me for an exclusive studio preview to go for a walkaround and explore the new car, including a special opportunity to take a careful seat inside.
Is this the future of BMW M? Do you like the direction it's heading? To me, the M NEXT feels almost ready to spawn a production version, who knows what we'll be seeing soon from BMW M!
Thanks for watching, Tim
