Here are the five steps I've done:
The first thing I did to make passive income was picked a business model I wanted to follow in order to generate an income. In my case this is affiliate marketing. There are a ton of different business models to choose from, but you need to pick one that you know you'll stick to and that will also become passive.
The second thing I did to start earning passive income online was I picked a marketing platform. This is the method in which you will distribute content in order to grow your passive income every month. One of the biggest mistakes people make when picking a platform is they pick several platforms and never get results with any of them. This is because they are spreading themselves too thin. Start with ONE and keep using it until you get the result you're looking for. For me personally, I used YouTube.
The third thing I did to start making passive income was I learned how to drive targeted traffic. This is the process of getting people who are interested in your offers to ACTUALLY see your offers. Driving traffic is a skillset that takes time. It's not something you will master in a matter of a few weeks, so give yourself the time to learn how to do and get better.
The fourth thing I did to set my business up to make passive income was I learned how to generate leads online. When you generate leads this allows you to follow up via email and email marketing is one of the most powerful things you can do in your online business. Once you've generate the lead, you can then follow up with your leads via an email sequence that is completely automated. It's pretty sweet. This positions you to start generating sales around the clock. Yes, even while you sleep.
The fifth thing I implemented to start making some passive income was sharpen the saw. This simply means I practice my craft. It's committing to learning and getting better at your skillset. Believe me, growing an online business has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done, but I've also never worked harder on something in my life.
I'll leave you with this. If you're serious about making this work, GIVE YOURSELF TIME. I see time and time again entrepreneurs get started in their online business only to quit a few months down the road when they aren't where they want to be yet. Delayed gratification is the key to success. Understand, that if you put the work in now, not expecting anything in return, you will breakthrough later and reap the rewards.
