Ana de Armas looks identical to Marilyn Monroe for new film Blonde She was recently confirmed to take on the role of Paloma - Daniel Craig's new love interest in the hotly anticipated Bond 25 movie.Yet Ana de Armas looked worlds away from her character as she transformed into Marilyn Monroe for her new film Blonde, which is based on the 1999 fictionalised chronicle of the late star by Joyce Carol Oates. The War Dogs star, 31, looked almost identical to the 1950s pin-up, who tragically passed away aged 36 in August 1962, as she got to work on the Andrew Dominik movie.Ana ditched her brunette locks for a wig replicating Marilyn's blonde curls as she was spotted in-between filming on set.The Bond Girl added a slick of glamorous 1950s make-up, which included black winged eyeliner and red lipstick. Ana looked effortlessly chic as she walked around set wearing a loose-fitting grey dressing gown with a pair of furry slippers. The actress was followed by a white Maltese terrier, no doubt playing Marilyn's beloved pet pooch Mafia who was said to be gifted by Frank Sinatra, as she picked up some food deliveries on set.Blonde by Andrew Dominik and is based on the 1999 fictionalised chronicle of the late star by Joyce Carol Oates, the film director is said to have been developing the movie for the last several years until he settled on Ana as Marilyn.Collider reports that Dominik wrote the script while Brad Pitt is set to produce the film after previously starring in the director's The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Killing Them Softly.    Blonde is a fictionalised chronicle of Marilyn Monroe, real name Norma Jeane Mortenson, through her life from an aspiring star to a Hollywood actress with her heartbreak and tragedies documented. Ana appeared to confirm she would be playing Marilyn in June, she shared a picture of the late star on her Instagram and captioned it: 'Happy Birthday Norma Jeane ♥️ #marilynmonroe.'  The actress has gone on to share several updates of the movie with Ana paying tribute to Marilyn on the anniversary of her death on 5 August, by sharing another snap of the late star.She captioned it: 'Thinking of you today, Norma Jeane. You’ve never been more present and closer to my heart. Thank you. ♥️ #MarilynMonroe #Blonde.'Ana is also currently filming the 25th instalment in the Bond franchise, which will see Daniel, 51, play 007 for the fifth and final time. She was confirmed as the brand new Bond Girl in April and will be starring in the No Time To Die Bond 25 film - which is set for release next year.Born in humble beginnings in Santa Cruz del Norte, Ana attended the National Theatre School of Cuba at the age of 12, and made her acting debut in 2006's Spanish film, Una rosa de Francia.The actress made the successful crossover to Hollywood in 2015 alongside Keanu Reeves in Knock Knock and then went on to work with Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright in 2017's Blade Runner 2049.Bond will mark Ana's breakthrough Hollywood role and she was said to have been personally selected
