Biometric face recognition technology becomes more and more popular as a key to security. On the other hand, it creates new threats.

How face recognition system works?
The main idea of such a system is to get data from the camera, compare this data with a database of known faces and find a match.

But what if someone tries to get access using a fake face?
Our general solution is the face liveness check that defines the difference between a real face and a replica.

What kinds of presentation attacks are there?
We classify attacks by 2D and 3D, static and dynamic. An example of a static attack might be the usage of photos and plastic masks or 3D print and sculpture. Dynamic presentation attacks might involve screen video replay or robots that reproduce expressions.
