Unpredictable weather combined with a really difficult track was definitely making everyone’s life harder! The Val di Sole track - nicknamed the ‘Black Snake’ - disturbed everyone this weekend and it didn’t allow for any mistakes. Some apocalipstick conditions for qualies and quite a sunny and dry track for finals forced the riders to play around with the lines, the settings and their heads! It wasn’t a perfect weekend for us but it was for sure a promising one!!

“The conditions changed so much for race day so we modified a few things on the bike and I think we made some wrong decisions. My bike was a bit too tough and I didn’t choose the good lines either. I honestly struggled this week to figure everything out but I know it’s not that bad at the end. I’m sitting second in the overall (132 points back from Loïc Bruni) and I’m staying focused for the next rounds, nothing is done until the end.”

“I was already happy about my qualies (13th), I felt good on my bike all week. I had a solid run and I’m super stoked to finish in the top 10 again, especially on a track like this. This weekend was a bit special for me as well because it’s my last race before having a baby so the whole situation was motivating!” Our Mitch is 11th overall.
Thibaut Daprela, 12th
“I crashed on qualies, injured my wrist a bit but I could feel I was able to race on Saturday. Brieuc the physio put some tape on and I was wearing a splint too. I started my race run pretty well, I was feeling good but I crashed I don’t know how! I’m going to check if my wrist is all good before Lenzerheide but I’m confident.”
In the Team Standings, we’re leading by 28 points which is always an honour (and a good excuse to drink some Champagne).
The next round in Lenzerheide is looking good and we’re super motivated to keep pushing our limits!
