How to speak more CONFIDENTLY and more CLEARLY! There are many ways to become a great speaker, hold yourself more confidently, and be more certain about yourself.
Here are a few ideas I have been working with to get myself more confident, speak with certainty, and come off as a good speaker.
Mirror work- Mirror work is an exercise I have been practicing lately that has upped my game, and Brough on TREMENDOUS confidence and CLARITY.
*Take 5 mins, ONLY 5 MINS A DAY, and speak to yourself in the mirror. Just you and the mirror, start by asking questions, answer those questions, affirmations, gratitude, a speak you are going to give. You name it you can be the best audience for yourself. NO JUDGEMENT!
2.Practice- Are you ACTUALLY practicing on becoming more confident or is it a pipe dream? You have to TAKE ACTION and work on areas you want to IMPROVE.
3.Rehearse- Do you have a big speech to give? Are you going over what you have to say? This can go anywhere from a question you want to ask on a date, a speech in front of 3,000 people, asking the cash register how their day was. We can ALWAYS go over, and over, and over again to make it slide right through your lips, and hit like bullseye to the person or audience you are addressing.
4. Breathe- Breath work is so important in so many ways! But with confidence, and speaking, it can give you calmness, and allow yourself to come off as very confident. Slow down, there is NO HURRY, matter a fact, the slower we talk the clearer we are, and easier to understand!
5. Simplify- Keep it stupid simple! Be relatable to who you are talking to.You don’t want to over complicate this because then you lose people right away. It's bad enough peoples attention span is that of a mouse. So break it down so EVERYONE can understand, and so you sound like an EXPERT!
