Well, we were sort of close.
Last year, we predicted that Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff would win the MVP Award in 2018. He had an excellent season, statistically speaking, and led the Rams to a Super Bowl 53 appearance. It just wasn’t enough to take the award from eventual MVP winner, Patrick Mahomes.
Heading into 2019, it’s safe to say that around two dozen players have a realistic shot at winning the award. And for once, it might be a non-quarterback...or perhaps a non-running back...that will be named the 2019 MVP!
