In today's video we're going to be talking about the customer journey, the customer journey is basically the customer experience your offering and the way in which customers find your site, where they land on your site, and how they move through your site ie how long are they staying on the site, what pages are they visiting, what are they clicking and how far down pages are they scrolling. We can better understand our customers journey by using Shopify Analytic Reports and Google Analytics. We can then use apps and tools like Neat A/B or HotJar to actually see how customers are interacting with our sites.
By understanding the customer journey you'll better understand your customers as well as how to layout your site to help them find what they are looking for, to make a more streamlined buying process, and ultimately for you, to convert customers to sales at a higher rate.
I should add I kind of simplified things in this video. We didn't get into abandon cart recapture, collecting reviews, building an e-mail list, cart upsells, etc, however even just mastering the basics of the customer journey will make a world of difference in your conversions and sales.
