Her new show is based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian, so basically we’re not sure whether we should read the book first or impatiently wait for the series. What is The Flight Attendant about? Kaley is not only producing the new show, but she is also starring in it. She has the lead role of flight attendant Cassie Bowden, who wakes up in her hotel room hungover from the night before, which sounds like an average night for her Big Bang character Penny, to be honest. Only it turns out there’s a dead body next to her and she knows the guy – but not how he died. She panics, and the story spirals from there. So, this is completely different from her character in Big Bang, but either way, we have to watch it. When will The Flight Attendant be released? An exact date and time haven’t been confirmed just yet but we do they are already filming in New York. It is expected to air on HBO in 2020. What has Kaley said about it so far? Kaley, who played Penny in The Big Bang Theory for 13 years, explained why she wanted to bring the book to life – and insisted that she wanted to be the boss. ‘I found this book two and a half years ago, and I wanted to make it, and I thought the material was great,’ she explained to ET Online. ‘I had an instinct about it. ‘I think it’s really important to start putting our own stamps on things, especially as women and having our own voice. ‘And I like being the boss. That’s it. That’s the bottom line.’ The 33-year-old also had to learn a lot about the aviation industry to fully get into her new role, but it turns out the actress wouldn’t be cut out as a flight attendant. She explained to PureWow: ‘I don’t know how flight attendants do it, I would be internally annoyed the entire time. ‘They’ve got a lot of patience.’ Who is in the star-studded cast? Kaley recently shared a photo with a couple of her new Flight Attendant co-stars to celebrate their castings. Rosie Perez will play Megan, Cassie’s friend and perfectionist flight team lead, who is bad at keeping other people’s secrets but great at keeping her own. They’ll be joined by Michiel Huisman (Alex), Sonoya Mizuno (Miranda) and Colin Woodell (Buckley). Kaley also explained why she’s glad she followed the end of The Big Bang Theory with The Flight Attendant as this is the time of year that Big Bang would normally be in production. The project has landed at WarnerMedia, an upcoming streaming service from Warner Bros. . ‘I love that Warner Bros. is my home away from home, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this incredibly collaborative and gratifying relationsh
