About the book, Faith and Science are compatible.

About the book, Faith and Science are compatible. The book was inspired by some work of Fr Stanley Jaki, he was a Benedictine priest, Hungarian origin and was the member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, he died in 2009. He had many insights and one of them was that science and natural theology have the same epistemological structure. In other words, they approach reality the same way. When you do science, you have to believe that the data of your senses is real and then you apply the law of causality. Exactly the same thing happens with something like metaphysics, where you try to prove the existence of God based on reason alone, so you believe the reality of the things outside of you and then you try to find an adequate answer as to why they exist and the only effective explanation that is sufficient is that there is an immaterial God who is sustaining things in existence in every moment. The fact that the way you approach science and the way you approach theology is fundamentally the same indicates to us that not only are they compatible, they have the same reasoning process.
