Is a Cambridge CELTA Worth the Time and Money? Teaching English Abroad TEFL

Coulda shoulda woulda.... will I? Maybe. I wish that when I first got started teaching English abroad I had just done the CELTA and gotten it out of the way. It packs a ton of name recognition. Is it just great marketing? Maybe. But the beauty of this qualification is in knowing that you will always have a legit TEFL that no one can poke holes in and say is not good enough. It's time-tested and universally legit. People think "What is the best qualification out there for teaching English abroad?" and the Cambridge CELTA usually comes to mind or at very least into the conversation.
