The Moment I've Been Waiting For | 2019 British Columbia Caribou & Moose (Ep. 2)

The moment I've been waiting for. In episode 2 of 2019 British Columbia Caribou and Moose, I finally get the opportunity that I've been waiting for and dreaming about from a young age.

After getting the horses ready at camp and having breakfast, we hit the trail on horseback heading deeper into Caribou country. The landscape is breathtaking, and the vastness seems to never end.

We ride for several hours, before finally a herd of caribou runs out from behind a ridge. We hop off our horses and my guide, James, not only clarifies that the bull is legal but adamantly suggests that I shoot him. So we make our way closer but the bull stands behind a cow. I continue to wait until I can get a clear and ethical shot. Before I know it, he steps out into a clear lane. The moment I've been waiting for is finally here, my chance to fulfill a lifetime dream of shooting a mountain caribou in the deep wilderness of British Columbia.
