Construction is beginning on our brand new house!! Four years ago we did our Debt Free Scream at Dave Ramsey's office in Tennessee. Before that, we got married and spent 3 years paying off $120,000 of debt. We've been debt free for a little over four years now and it's finally time to buy our first home! After becoming debt free, we saved up a six month emergency fund and then moved to Hawaii. After a few life events happened, we moved back to the mainland and started renting. We've been renting for a few years and now feel comfortable enough with our income and savings to purchase our first home.
