Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said on Thursday that Muslim countries must start to produce and develop their own technologies. Speaking at a roundtable session titled “The Priority of Development and The Challenges,” in Kuala Lumpur, the Prime Minister pointed out that Muslims were dependent on the creations and technologies of non-Muslims, adding that “we have no choice but to develop and progress as fast as possible if we are to remedy all the misfortunes that had befallen the ummah.”
