I Faked My Pregnancy to Drain My Ex Boyfriend Bank Account

I Faked My Pregnancy to Drain My Ex Boyfriend Bank Account My name is Adrienne Castillo, I’m twenty years old. I live in an apartment in Santa Monica, California. I’m a successful makeup artist but when I was eighteen, I was struggling, and I tried to trap a guy into marrying me.

His name was Jason Sullivan. Jason was tall with rich dark brown skin and light green eyes. He was slim, with a runner’s physique. That’s how I met him. He was running on the beach and I was lying out on a hot pink watermelon beach towel. I was into pink at the time. I think my bikini was the same lurid shade and my hair had chunks of pink dyed into the brown. I waved as he passed.

He was so adorable! He did a double take before continuing down the beach. I laughed. A half an hour later, a sweatier Jason dropped down beside me in the sand. “I want to take you to dinner,” he said.

I let him take me to dinner. Dinner turned into lots of dinners. We saw each other almost every night for a month. Three months in we were an item. I never let him come to my apartment. I shared it with two other girls and it was tiny. Jason would take me to his house instead. I quickly realized Jason was rich. His house had a pool. His TV was larger than my bed, and he paid for everything, no hesitation. I was living in a fairytale. I never wanted it to end.

Daisy, my roommate, loved hearing about Jason, and we would sigh over him while eating pizza in our shoebox of a living room. Tanya was never home since she was a bartender, so the two of us would gossip, gorge and watch trashy TV. Daisy was going on about my luck and I was grinning when she said, “You should get him to marry you. Then even if it doesn’t work out, you’ll be set for life, Adrienne!”

“Come on Tanya, Jason loves me, and I love him,” I replied, “What more do we need?”
Tanya wandered in, surprised to see us. She was lean, and would have been a model in any other town with her white smile and tawny skin. “Hi girls, I thought I’d be home alone. Is there more pizza? I had the best night! I met this guy and he was so handsome. He gave me his number.” Tanya showed me the number. “He was a real looker. Seemed familiar…”

My stomach dropped. I knew that number. It was Jason’s. Daisy’s eyes went wide when I told them. We even opened my phone to compare numbers. There was no mistaking it, the number was Jason’s. He was looking to replace me. Daisy hugged me while Tanya looked on confused. When Tanya went to sleep, we hatched our plot.

I called Jason and I told him I was pregnant.
Jason freaked out and hung up on me. Panicked, I wanted to take it back. Daisy said to wait until morning. I spent the entire evening lying in my bed, trying to calm my racing thoughts. If he did think I was pregnant, I would have to get pregnant fast. I didn’t take my birth control that night.

In the morning, Jason took me to breakfast. He looked excited. He told me after the shock wore off that he was ready to be a father. I asked him if he were serious and he offered to take me shopping for a ring. My heart soared. I was going to keep Jason. I was going to be rich! And I was going to have a baby if I could get pregnant fast enough to pull the scam off. I felt a twinge about that part but ignored it. Jason was going to make all my dreams come true!

I was an idiot. Jason was the type that was too nervous to sleep with a pregnant woman. He kept saying he might hurt the baby. Daisy and I would text furiously about how to convince him to sleep with me so I could get pregnant for real. We were going to try getting him too drunk to be squeamish about it. Or maybe I could wait until he was sleeping… Each plan was more childish and elaborate than the last.
