Man Utd have one major advantage in race for €100m striker

Man Utd have one major advantage in race for €100m striker Reported today in Football365.

Manchester United have a big advantage over their rivals for Erling Braut Haaland's signature, according to reports in Spain.

The Red Bull Salzburg striker is one of the brightest prospects in Europe, having scored seven Champions League goals and 15 Austrian Bundesliga goals so far this season.

Both Liverpool and United are reportedly interested in securing the services of Haaland, as well as other top clubs from around Europe, but may be put off by Salzburg's €100million valuation of the 19-year-old.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been coy when asked about the 19-year-old previously, although in September he admitted: "It was nice watching the game last night, it was great watching him. Everyone is excited by his development."

The Man Utd boss is familiar with the forward having given him his first taste of senior football when in charge at Molde and Spanish outlet AS (via the Daily Express) claims that the Red Devils have an 'advantage' over other clubs.

Their advantage comes in the form of Solskjaer, who Haaland would be excited to work with again.

Real Madrid and Juventus are also believed to be interested and Norwegian newspaper VG (via Sport Witness) lists them as well as Manchester United, and numerous other clubs, as having sent officials to watch Haaland.
