Zac Goldsmith loses seat to Lib Dems: 'All good things must come to an end'

The Conservative Zac Goldsmith has lost the Richmond Park seat in south-west London to Liberal Democrat Sarah Olney in one of the most high-profile losses of election night. The longstanding pro-Brexit former MP served his constituency for nine years, losing his seat once before to Olney in 2016, before returning to the helm in 2017.
