Adam Lallana opens up on seemingly imminent Liverpool exit ahead of Merseyside Derby

Adam Lallana opens up on seemingly imminent Liverpool exit ahead of Merseyside Derby Adam Lallana insists he’s not thinking about his Liverpool future, despite strong suggestions he won’t be given a new contract at Anfield. The England international’s current deal with the Merseysiders, whom he joined in the summer of 2014, expires at the end of the season. Lallana’s lack of first-team football has fuelled suggestions he could leave Anfield this month for a cut-price fee or in the summer on a free transfer. Despite having an unclear future, Lallana insists he’s fully focused on helping end Liverpool’s long wait to lift the league title. “It’s easy to keep working,” Lallana told Off The Ball. “I’m enjoying playing for the best team in the world, it’s as simple as that. “Whatever my contract situation is, that will be going on in the background. There’s not a chance that that will affect my commitment to this club. JUST IN: Liverpool transfer news: Done deals, who could sign, who could leave?  “I have given 110 per cent throughout my Liverpool career and will continue to do so, whether that finishes at the end of the season or whether that continues. “It’s a great squad, a great bunch of lads and I couldn’t be enjoying my football any more.” Lallana may be remaining coy on his Anfield future, but Reds chief Jurgen Klopp has hinted he could be on his way out the club this summer. “Everything about Adam Lallana, Adam Lallana knows and I know, and I’m really happy for him that he’s in sensational shape at the moment; that’s what we try to show constantly, as often as we bring him in,” Klopp told Sky Sports. DON'T MISS Top 25 most likely January transfers ranked, including Ake, Werner Premier League done deals: Every confirmed transfer in the top flight Arsenal worried about one player as Arteta readies bid for January  READ MORE Liverpool transfer news LIVE: Sadio Mane to Real Madrid 'possible'  “He is a very important player in this moment. What will happen in the future, we will see. “But for him, wherever it is – here or somewhere else – the only important thing is that he can show he is 100 per cent fit. “He had some injury problems [that are] completely done; trained, body is super fit, mind in a perfect place, enjoys the time here in the moment. “You can see that in each second of training and [when] he plays, very influential.  “But these kind of things we don’t discuss in public, so you have to speculate further.” Liverpool will be back in action on Sunday afternoon, welcoming their bitter rivals Everton to Anfield for their FA Cup third-round tie. The runaway Premier League leaders go into the match on the back of a 2-0 win over Sheffield United, which stretched their lead at the top of the table to 13 points.Liverpool team news: Predicted line up vs Everton – Minamino debut
