Andra pesarattu is one among the dosas that is prepared by all of us and this being dosa with main two ingredients being moong dal and rice in adequate proportions being added.The topping to the original pesarattu dosa is coconut, green chili, ginger, cumin and coriander leaves.  The  pesarattu topping is now modified and we add onion for extra flavour and omit coconut.  Here goes the recipe for "Andra pesarattu"!I
NGREDIENTS:
1. Soaked moong - 1 cup
2. Raw rice - 1/5 cup
3. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
4. Green chili - 2-3
5. Ginger - 1" piece
INGREDIENTS OF TOPPING :
1. Fresh grated coconut - 2-3 tbsp
2.Finely chopped green chili - 1-2
3. Finely chopped ginger - 1" piece
4. Cumin seeds - 2 tsp
5. Finely chopped coriander leaves - /2 cup
6. Finely chopped onion - 1/ cup
PROCEDURE: Wash & Soak moong and rice in water in the desired proportion for about 4-5 hours.  Grind in the mixie draining extra water to a fine and thick consistency.  Add salt and a little water to adjust consistency.  Place a dosa griddle on medium flame , rub in a little oil and rub with splashing water  and add a ladle of dosa batter and spread it as thin as possible and top it with coconut chopped green chili, ginger, cumin seeds and coriander leaves and press it with the spatula  and splash oil all round and by then dosa is cooked.  Transfer to a plate.  Ready to serve pesarattu dosa is with coconut chutney.  Add another ladle of dosa batter to the skillet and spread it as thin as possible and top with green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander leaves and chopped onion and press it with spatula and splash oil all over.  Now transfer the cooked dosa to a plate and serve with ginger coconut chutney.  yum yum!
