The Reinhardt family from Ihringshausen near Kassel, Germany, has been banking on an SMA Energy System Home since 2013. The intelligent Sunny Home Manager distributes the solar power to home appliances, allowing a large portion of the generated solar energy to be consumed directly. The PV system produces twice as much as the Reinhardts need for their own use, so they want to expand with battery-storage and e-mobility. Then the family can capitalize on even more valuable PV power - especially when the sun is not shining.
