You know whenever I make a beat I never make it with the intetention to cop some other person's style such as a trap type beat, lil keed type beat, or lil baby type beat. However, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. When making beats I don’t intenitoally make beats and think in my head okay I’m going to make a trap type beat. Perhaps the next day, I’ll make a lil keed type beat. That’s definitely not the case with any beat I make. When you see one putting titles such as lil baby type beat, the main reason for that is from experience. I can not tell you how many times I’ve asked an artist what kind of type beat do you want? Tha’ts when the artist opens up saying, they want a gunna type beat, lil keed type beat, or whatever rapper is wavythese days. Things change and the type beat game is as old as time itself. When Kanye west made some beats for Jay-Z he had some beats for dmx in mind, but they ended up being Jay’s tracks instead. I know many producers see themselves as artsits first, but when we take away the art and everything else in between, focus on the business we can see type beats have existed since the beginning of time. People did covers of folk songs for thousands of years all with their own little twist. Today’s rap music sounds much different, but in many ways the same with the bass now completely distorted and thumping. Another 10 years from now it’s going to happen again. Maybe the melodies will get longer because these days the songs are so long. Yes, we mamy have lil baby type beats, lil keed type beats, or gunna type beats for now, but they will change over time. Eventually as time goes we might all start listeing to type beats in amazon alexa. Give it time and we’ll see the music industry change yet again. Things change all the time in the industry and of course comes the issue of industry plants. If one releases a beat every day for a year straight, one is an industry plant, right? (sarcasm) Sometimes the idea of hardwork gets lost on people, but hey that’s in any industry. Type beats are nothing new and heck I’ve even country type beats for country artists. It’s crazy the world we live in with rap type beats now but that’s the world we live in now. Learning how to market and sell is key in any industry so no surprises in this industry. Rap, hip type beats are nothing new, so let us expand our horizons into something new as we head into another year. The world only helps those who helps themselves you know. With that being said that’s enough of my rant, plush beats out.
