Idaho Legislature 2020: Week 2 Update 1. Common Core standards hearing: The science standards hearing has been postponed, but we need to be on top of things. Let's encourage members of the House Education Committee to keep the standards our award-winning science teachers set.

2. Add the Words: Democratic legislators aren't giving up. Every year for more than a decade, they've been trying to fight discrimination against our LGBTQ+ citizens. It's time we Add the Words.

3. John Green expelled: After being convicted of felony conspiracy to defraud the United States government in Texas, the House voted unanimously to expel him. We need higher standards for ALL our legislators, and this is a good step toward the bare minimum.

4. Tomorrow is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Human Rights Day in Idaho). Let's take a few minutes to reflect and engage in service.
