Flat fabrication for the production of miter cut flats is uniquely comprehensive with FICEP’s Tipo D 8. The industry leading versatility of the FICEP Tipo D 8 makes this the CNC line of choice when fabricating flats.

Several unique innovative features have been incorporated into this proprietary product to make it the ideal solution for the fabrication of miter cut flats. Flats are punched with a turret punch to accommodate up to eight different diameters.

A high performance drill spindle is integrated into the system to address hole requirements that require drilling. A four-position automatic tool changer services the drilling spindle to accommodate additional capabilities such as scribing, tapping, countersinking and more.

A randomly programmable marking press is available to hard stamp part numbers without the need for manual set up.

The shear for flats has the unique capability to rotate both right and left up to 60 degrees to clip corners and to generate miter cut parts.

A positive rack and pinion material positioning system generates industry leading accuracy and speed. The carriage positioning system enables full automation including automatic stock length loading, measuring, discharge of finished parts to programmed locations and the removal of the scrap or drops while maximizing material utilization. This unique level of automation permits one attendant to monitor the production of several lines.
