This tiny house is what put me on the map as a tiny house designer. Working for FYI's "Tiny House Nation," television show I consulted and designed over 20 tiny homes, but there's just something super special about this house! I called it the "Mid Century Marfa" house, even though it sits in Austin, Texas. We mixed a "high desert theme" with bohemian textures, creating a really relaxed, eclectic vibe.
From the "Candyland" colored staircase, to the Parasoleil panels I used to skirt the house, the colors and textures are surely what make this tiny home pop....BUT I believe it's the FLOOR PLAN that really makes this tiny house stand out! The L Shape splits the Living and Bedroom Units, offering semi-privacy between a family and their guests.... Something most tiny homes DON'T have!
