Trade Wars: Why isn’t Trump alone? - VisualPolitik EN

Donald Trump is the first American president who has blocked trade with China. The trade war is one of the pillars of his administration. It is a controversial strategy that means billions of dollars lost by American and Chinese companies. Then again, strange as it seems, Democrats have bought the ‘tough on China’ mantra.
Prior to Trump, the WTO and America torn a blind eye anytime was breaking the international trade rules. Back then, they all believed China would, eventually, change their political system and start playing by the rules. Trump has made a 180º shift to this World view.
What are the consequences this trade war has on China and America? Who is winning this war? Can this war have an impact on the next presidential elections? We will answer to all of these questions on this video.
