WATCH: 'A tremendous amount of material' still to be reviewed on Ukraine hold, Crow says When asked by Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., for further clarity on the timing of President Donald Trump’s decision to withhold security assistance to Ukraine, House impeachment manager Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., said he believed there is a “tremendous amount of material out there” that could shed further light on the matter. He said that Ukrainian officials knew about the hold on aid, and mentioned testimony from Pentagon official Laura Cooper that revealed Ukraine had been asking about security assistance by email on July 25, the same day that Trump called President Volodymr Zelensky. Crow also cited testimony from Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who said he had fielded questions from Ukraine about the hold. Crow criticized the Trump administration for continuing to obstruct efforts by his team to get additional documents that would reveal more details surrounding the decision to place a hold on aid to Ukraine. Senators had a second day to ask questions of the House managers and President Donald Trump’s legal team on Thursday, Jan. 30. That came after both sides were given three days, respectively, to present their case. The House of Representatives impeached Trump in December on two articles -- abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The questions come ahead of a vote on whether to bring forward witnesses and documents as part of the Senate trial. The Senate must now decide whether to acquit the president or convict him of the charges and remove him from office.
