We’re diving deep into all of those rigging projects that have been nagging us in the back of our minds during heavy weather passages to ensure that our 57 year old, 30 foot sailboat is ready to sail across the Pacific Ocean. This week, we install dyneema cheeky tangs from Colligo Marine , inspect and rebed our chainplates due to some visible corrosion and leaking, prep the bobstay chainplate for replacement, modify our mizzen mast head and finally design new tangs. With all of these improvements, we’ll be able to trust Atticus WAY more when we're thousands of miles away from land!
