How important is it to find a surgeon for Rhinoplasty that you feel you can trust?

Dr Rodrigo Teixeira talks about the importance of trust, good assessment, pre operative planning and realistic expectations in rhinoplasty.
"That is very important, building rapport and trusting your surgeon is crucial. Your are giving yourself (consent) for their (surgeon) treatment, so it is very important that there is trust and good communication.
With rhinoplasty, sometimes, it can be challenging to be on the same page of what the patient expectations are or what are the possible outcomes. if both (the patient and their surgeon) understand that well, than the chances of having a successful treatment are greater.
Shared understanding is extremely important, (the nose) is a tridimensional structure, central in the face, in which is quite difficult to visualise changes. I really like to spend time with patients, asking them what is it that bothers them? and then, trying to replicate (simulate) some of the changes before surgery, so we can both look at it and see if we are talking about the same thing and discussing possible results that can be achieved safely."
