Today, we're gonna talk about how to deal with the pain of heartbreak and all your neediness. This happens a lot when somebody rejects us, when somebody plays us or breaks up with us when we feel the need to contact somebody we like and they don't contact us back, stuff like that. Dealing with that pain is a little uncomfortable, right?
A lot of people don't know how to deal with this pain. Sometimes, I deal with it by smoking weed but for the most part, what I like to do is a very simple concept that I learned when I was travelling with my family members and it's by asking myself two things to make myself better.
Ask yourself "Am I trying to feel better right now?" and then observe if there's any effort inside of you to feel better. You'll notice you are, so then, ask yourself "What would happen if I stop trying to feel better?" and try that for a few seconds: just don't try to feel better. Whatever is happening, don't put any effort to feel better.
By trying not to feel better, you allow the poignancy of life to be expressed and you feel the full range of life which is all the emotions that you feel. The problem is that the negative emotions we feel really aren't negative. We just label it as negative and we give it toxicity. When you just allow yourself to feel how you feel without feeling bad, ask yourself "Can I just accept how I feel right now? Can I just stop trying to feel better for a few seconds?" You'll notice your senses open up, you'll be more relaxed and you'll be more at peace.
