Opaque, Translucent & Transparent: Object Classified Based on Light Transmission- NSO|NSTSE|Olympiad Based on how the objects transmit light- they can be classified into three types:
1. Transparent: The objects which have regular transmission- whether color or plain for example, glass or color glass, air, water etc.
2. Translucent: Objects which undergo irregular transmission- objects appear fuzzy or blurry when looked through such objects- butter paper, tracing paper, thin plastic
3. Opaque: They do not transmit light- pen, pencil, rubber, metals, etc.
