WOODWORK | MILLING POST AND BEAM PURLINS FOR THE TIMBER FRAME CABIN IN THE WOODS

WOODWORK | MILLING POST AND BEAM PURLINS FOR THE TIMBER FRAME CABIN IN THE WOODS #timberframecabin #timberframehouse #timberframe

In this DIY video I am doing some woodwork on the construction of the timber frame cabin in the woods near the Smoky Mountains foothills, and milling up some logs for the post and beam roof known as purlins to help distribute the weight over a long span for the roof rafters. The Norwood sawmill makes easy work of the process and can be done by one man. The rafters are cut, and as soon as the purlins are in place the roof can begin to be installed.
