CEO Offered To Erase Student Lunch Debts, But School District Wouldn’t Let Him | NBC Nightly News Todd Carmichael, the CEO of La Colombe coffee, offered to clear $22,000 worth of debt owed to a Pennsylvania school district by some 1,000 families for unpaid school lunches. He tells Rehema Ellis that he was shocked when the school board’s president rejected the “no strings attached” offer. NBC News’ multiple attempts to reach the school board were unsuccessful.
